That doesn't usually happen to me. But I do get calls asking me questions. I'm not indispensable for goodness sake! I'm just in retail sales. I'm sure someone else can handle it or at least put it off a day, sheesh!. If I was that important than why would it be so easy for them to blame me or reprimand me or even fire me?

yes. I usually tell them some excuse like my dad just came in from out of town or I was feeling sick today anyway so...
but if you were on call, then that would really suck. just try to enjoy the extra money I guess

yeah that happend to me last thursday, an they wanted me t work 7nights cuz they called me saturday too but i was in another twn very very merry at the time, so at least i got 1 night off

I always turn both cells off and the house phone when I'm off or sick. :) then they can't reach me
