My God... if you think baseball is boring, you'll *hate* cricket. The matches can go on for days...

I agree that baseball is boring, unless you're at the park. I'd never watch a baseball game on television if I wasn't a devoted fan of one of the teams.

Soccer is way better than cricket could ever be, and yet very few people really care that much about it. Jay Leno made an interesting joke that in signing David Beckham, this is the first most people have ever heard of a professional soccer team in Los Angeles.

Cricket will never find more than a marginal audience stateside. Good luck, though, if the networks think they can pull it off.

Oh yes.

We Yanks can't wait to get access to a sport played by skinny British boaring school students wearing smart white sweater sets. (We'd really rather watch Quidditch, but its not even real!)

We have access to Polo, and just about no network ever carries a minute of it except during the Olympics or if one of your Princes falls off a horse.

We have access to soccer. We won't call it football, so please quit asking, and by the way--Most. Boring. Sport. Ever. We doubt Beckham will hook us on soccer any more than Pele did n the '70s.

We barely watch Hockey, and even then only because we like the fighting.

Baseball IS boring. It's okay if you are in the stadium with a cold beer and a hot dog, lots less fun from your living room.

Anyone who thinks Cricket would attract 1/10th the audience of baseball is deluded.

Baseball is boring. Cricket is marginally better. The king of boring sports is golf.
