penfold was a mole, terry Scott did penfolds voice and David Jason did dangermouses voice,and there was barrengreen back the baddie, spin off from dangermouse was count duckula,have just looked at a web site for penfold and it does say hamster, but to me he does look like a mole.

If you look up Dangermouse on Toonopedia, they have information on the characters, and since it has not been altered by any outside input, I am more inclined to rely on Toonopedia facts than Wikipedia.
