Seems to me like there's a parallel between the Scooter Libby and Bill Clinton cases. Each was accused of perjury and obstruction of justice, although the underlying conduct was not a crime. (There has been no charge of "outing" Valerie Plame filed against Libby or anyone else.)

Are there any LEGAL distinctions you see?

Thanks.

Clinton conspired with Monica to get her to change her testimony in the Paula Jones lawsuit.

Libby appears to have forgotten details of memos and dates.

Your Clinton analogy is false, in my opinion, as Bill was trying to save his buttocks.

This is more like Hillary when she could not recall details of certain billing records. While she may have been obstructiing justice, there was no way to prove it because she was trained in her response.

Libby made a mistake and is paying for it. I think the trial will exhonerate him (but I do not care if he is sentenced to life for guilt).
