The last decade was called the ninety's, before that the eighty's. What is this decade called?

This decade isn't the "naughties", it's the "noughties", as in "nought". Or alternatively, it could be called "the second decade that taste forgot".

As for the next decade, I suppose that it ought to be called the 2010s (pronounced "twenty-tens"), because the years 1910 to 1919 are commonly referred to as the 1910s ("nineteen-tens").

This is the 21st centuary , with this decade being called the naughties. Goodness know what the next will be called. 1920 was called the twenties but 1910 didnt have a shortened word.

The "tens" isn;t very catchey. the 1st decade of the final centry replace into generally happening because of the fact the Edwardian era because of the fact King Edward VII replace into purely on the throne for 10 years 1901-1910.
