fix my tub? The strip that goes around the top is coming off.. I just want to peel it off and put culking around it. Would that be ok? Does it need to be dried first?

You should be able to get it out with a plastic scraper. Then you can use a tube of bathtub caulk to put a new one around there. Make sure the area you're applying the caulking to is dry and clean to ensure a good seal. The compound does need to be dry before you can use your bathtub/shower again. Good luck!

it sure does have to be dry. strip it off and clean off any residual glue from this old strip. you can use some acetone and for tough glue use a single edge blade avilable from home depot or lowes etc... make sure that it is clean and dry. then use a silicone based caulk. GE makes a Bath and Tub caulk. clean up any caulk while it is uncured. use a wet finger to smooth over any imperfections in your caulking. good luck

After you'll have the replacement strip, peel the strip up and fully dry up the area before replacement.

What kind of strip? What kind of wall? Yes, area must be totally dry before starting any repair.
