Then you woke up. Nothing against Rugby, and if they want to start a league go for it, but they aren't going to replace the NFL.

That is crazy.
The NFL is the most popular sports franchise in the US. If CNN reported that, then they are uninformed. Any American male can tell you this, most Americans have no idea how rugby is even played. Theres no way Rugby could even begin to compete with the NFL

this will never happen!!!!!!!!!!! not a chance!!!!!!!!!!! you see american football in its early years was almost just like rugby 15 men on the field, no forward passes, field goals were worth more than td's etc. not long after the td was worth 6 points, 7 with the pat, field goals were 3, 11 men on the field and forward passing, football went from being one of those "other" sports to being the biggest thing here in the states since george washington, rugby will never replace football in the states.....or you sure it was the real CNN or saturday night live spoofing CNN

Not in America. There is waaaaaaayyyyy to much money being made in Football in the USA and it is so much more popular here than Rugby is. Do colleges even have rugby teams in the U.S.?

uh yeah that's not gonna happen. NFL is an AMERICAN sport, why involve the Aussies? not saying rugby isn't cool cuz my friends play it but i seriously don't think that there isn't a thing that can replace NFL in the US
