Why are there not more important lessons like 'How to be a good parent?' Lessons in Honesty.Lessons on Natures gifts to us like homeopathic plants and herbs.Lessons on taking other peoples feelings into account.Lessons on Compassion,Charity,Kindnesss and Love. Not forgetting teaching us to always tell the Truth. If we want to change the way the world is then we must start changing our values and our education system. We believe in a society and ruling party who care little for people.Otherwise they would not be shutting schools and hospitals stating that lack of funding is the reason for closure. There is always money for war, government wages or expensive refurbishments on government buildings and musn't forget the ridiculously high contracts that those in power give their old school pals. Also, shouldn't goverments ask the people to vote on decisions rather than just make them. Why should we let them do to us anything that they want? Are we just frightened sheep?

Schools have moved from places of 'education' to become training grounds for the future generation of workers and so it isn't surprising they concentrate on 'practical' subjects. Who needs charity, kindnesss and love any more? No money in it.

And as for parenting, honesty or compassion, you can't grade people on them as easily as you can on Maths and English. And if you can't grade you can't show any improvement can you?

And finally as for values, well, if you started teaching people how to think then where would it lead?

I ask you! Get a grip man and stop rocking the boat!
