Well - first - you count your blessings. You DO have access to a computer - and it's very likely you can stay in touch with this friend on a daily basis through e-mail and such. AND - you have a good friend - no matter where he is. I know that it won't be the same - as you won't be able to experience outings and things with him - and that will be hard - but as time passes - you will get used to him being a far away friend.
And you know what? When I was 14 - I was the one who moved away from all of my friends - and it was very hard. I found that it's okay to just cry sometimes. I felt very lonely. It took awhile but I did make new friends. I learned a lot. First, I learned that I enjoyed doing some things by myself, like taking walks and listening to music. Also, I learned how to make new friends. How to find things I had in common with others and then invite them to do those things with me.
I don't know how old you are. If you are out on your own - just start doing the things you love to do and you will meet some people. Join a book club or a theatre group or go to church. Also taking classes is always a good way to meet people.
If you are younger - ask your parents to get you involved in sports or a play or scouts - any activity where they are groups of people who have a common interest. There are sure to be at least a few who you'll choose as your friends. Plus - if you are in school there must be a lot of people there who would like to be your friend.
Oh - you can also start to save your money so you can go and visit your friend!
Good luck!

It's hard to move away from your friends or have one of your close friends move away from you.
The best thing you can do is make new friends. Try joining new clubs/sports at school or around your town.
Keep in touch with your friend moving away too, talking to him will get both of you through this.

I'm sure you'll be fine. There are many people out there to be friends with. Keep in contact with him, but definitely go out and meet new people. Maybe people you work with??
