here are a few golden rules :
1. before studying try to concentrate on the flame of the candle kept straight to your eyes which will increase your concentration power.
2. dont worry about anything just do your work because worry is the misuse of imagination
3. always study in north-east direction
4.test yourself after you complete each topic
5.have a bottle full of water near your study tableand drink water in intervals.

For long chapters, I find that reading from beginning to end (with small breaks in a quiet room) first helps. Try to focus on what's important but don't pay too much attention to it. Then go back a couple days later to read what you think is important from what you remember. The second time around underline with pencil the main points then transfer to notecards at the end. Notecards HELP, as cheesy as people think they are, they DO help!!

Write down the most important part of the chapter or chapters that you are studding,go back and write down the most important of the most important of the chapter or you can high light the paragraphs that you think you need to study and read them over and over, take a brake and do it again, get comfortable and get proper lighting in the room to study,is better if you do it alone.

It really depends on your method of learning. For me, creating an digital outline of text that I've read helps the most. Plus, I can go back and search for text quickly since it's typed up. Good luck.

Highlighting seems to work for me.
Also turn the important points into questions and write them down like you were designing the test then write the answer after it.
Review the questions about 20 minutes before the test.

Read the subject you are about to study first, in order of you get more familiar with what you are going to learn, than discuss it with others students. A group of students or even with your roommate or mom can complement your study, than, get back to some researches for you gain a "picture" example of the subject of your study.
This was the most efficient way for me to learn, because I tend to be very forgetful and the conversations engaged with my friends used to give me others ways for me to make associations, and not forget (or forget less) about my studing.

The best way to study is that don't take it as a study, take i as a PASSION. I know i am sounding little bit stupid but this is true for example when we go to cinema hall to see a movie we used to filled up with energy and excitement and we watch any movie with full of passion, take another example when we go to disco's or parties there we used to dance with full of energy and enjoyment and with passion so similarly is the case with studies. Study with full of passion, don't study too long just study for 1 hour but with full of passion and excitement and your life will be changed for ever.
