Who is your all time favourite film maker.

I want to compile a list of the best and also expand my dvd collection to feature a film by the very best directors and producers and writers from around the world.

Personal favourite is Miike Takashi.

All great answers and an interesting consistency with choices, like tarantino cropping up a lot. Also I have to agree with everyone's choices. Nice to see Dario Argento and AKira Kurosawa. Not that many foreign directors. I would love to give you all points but until I work out a way to exploit answers I had to just give each of you a thumbs up.

Next I must go to play.com and order like never before. weeeeee-heeeeeeeeeee %^)
