I don't only think it was a confession, I think it was bragging. He's a psychopath. Psychopaths need to brag about what they've done.

Simpson's book may be tacky but "if i did it" deals with one chapter that is hypothetical and labeled fiction - a great part of the book likely is OJ defending himself against false allegations. The book does not contain a confession nor does the chapter contain the actual attack by whoever committed the crime. Possibly the "If i did it" title and chapter was decided by the publisher for the sensational value which they thought would translate into higher book sales. It was the publisher who brought the deal to Simpson and offered the money. The rare opportunity to earn any income likely was taken to help provide for his family members - Simpson is paying the costs to put his kids through college etc. OJ has always maintained his innocence.

Absolutely. He got away with it in a criminal case because the judge was weak and allowed the defense to make a mockery of the trial. Think about the 'glove incident'. Have you ever spread you fingers as wide as you could when putting on your gloves? OJ would have us believe that is how he does it. All so the glove wouldn't fit. Now, he comes out with this because he knows he can confess and be protected by double jeopardy and make money into the bargain. It is such a cynical action that it is worthy of him.

I think it's OJ being smug. He did it. We know he did it. His lawyers know he did it.

It's not really a confession in the sense that you and I would confess, out of a guilty conscience, or of correcting a wrong. It's bragging, pure and simple. He's rubbing our noses in it and gets a giggle each time someone expresses outrage.

And he knows that each time he pulls a stunt, the families of Nicole and Ron suffer anew. And that's the icing on the cake...

I believe it was his way of throwing in our faces the fact that he got away with 2 murders. Would an innocent man write a stupid book...If I Did It...get real. He would be spending his time trying to show us that he DIDN'T do it. Whatever happened to his big promise of finding the REAL killer. Confession my ***. Just a creepy guy trying to make a buck.

I think it was a way to get his name back in the papers and make a little money, although from what I understand any money he makes goes to the Goldman family from their civil court case. Maybe it was to get them off his back because they are suing his to have the right to use his name for endorsements to be paid.

I think it was a stupid move on a part of a man who is so egocentric and attention-hungry, he would do just about anything.
I have no opininon on whether he "did it" or not, but he's ignorant just the same...

The man is "Basically" boasting to the world that he got away with "MURDER"!!! And how sad is that, for our "Already Messed-up Country!!" He's basically saying: "Hey, you too can get away with MURDER, if you just have the right attorney!!! And as far as his attorney, who just died this past year... He will be having to go before God, if He already hasn't!!! And I feel sorry, for his soul, if he didn't "Repent", and ask God's forgiveness, for lieing to America, to get O.J., off from being "Guilty!!!" How sad is all of that!! But do you know who I really feel sorry for, its O.J.s kids!!! What sort of message is he sending to his children??? And I bet that daughter of his cant wait to grow-up, and move as far away as she can from her dad!!!! I felt, and still feel so sorry for those kids of their's!!!!

I think so. To confess and to gain back his fortune. And to brag.
