How much "farther along" were you measuring? Does he mean by the baby's size by u/s or by your fundal height? It's normal for fundal height to measure up to 2 cm ahead of or behind the number of weeks you are.

If your last full period was Sept. 23, then you don't measure from Oct 22, you would measure from a LMP of Sept 23. If you had a full period that started on October 22, then you would call Oct. 22 your LMP. The missed period is not the one you measure from.

That's weird. My LMP was Sept. 27, 2006 but they say my due date is July 04. HOw is your last menstrual period Oct. 22, 2006 and you are due before me? I'm now currently 15 weeks pregnant, going on 16 weeks. You probably conceived in Sept.

it is possible to have a period during pregnancy, but babies develop at all different rates inside the womb. so even though you might be farther along today, if the doctor does an ultrasound he may tell you it only looks one week ahead of schedule. the due date is estimated and gives 2 weeks for different growth of the baby. get an ultrasound!

A friend of mine also had some sort of "period" when she was pregnant for three months. Every month it became less and less, so by the third month she went to the doctor to find out what is wrong with her cycle, only to find out that she is pregnant.
Ask your doctor for a bloodtest to make sure - they use the amount of HCG in your blood to determine how far along you are.

some people experience a normal period during pregnancy. It could last maybe a couple of months to throughout the entire pregnancy. If that's true in your case then i would suggest asking your doctor HOW far along you are exactly. Have him/her do a sonogram to determine it. Congratulations btw:)
