A group of more than 50 active-duty military officers will deliver a petition to Congress on Tuesday signed by about 1,000 troops calling for an end to the U.S. occupation of Iraq. Any sensible comments?

No best answer. As a matter of fact, no answers, period.

No opinions about the people who signed the petition.

Just the usual types who don't bother to check their facts before posting messages.

Your little made up factoid wouldn't mean anything if it were true. The president has a job to do and it does not include take opinion poles from soldiers. American fighting men and women have far to much honor to do something that.

1,000 troops out of 153,000 isn't that much I'm afraid. Besides that a soldiers opinion doesn't mean much if anything to them. It's a shame, but it's the truth.

I haven't heard of this--in fact I know several soldiers over there and none of feel that way! They are fighting for yours, mine, theirs and the futures of our country.
