I would definitely recommend staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort really isn't all it's cracked up to be. In fact, if you ask any of the Cast Members on property, even the Cast Members at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort agree that Disney's Polynesian Resort is the best on property for couples. On my last trip to Walt Disney World I learned that Disney's Polynesian Resort has the highest return rate of all the Resorts on property. My boyfriend and I have stayed there the past two summers and we won't stay at any other Resort. It's so gorgeous there, and it's such a romantic location. It's right between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Monorail comes right to the lobby just like at the other two Resorts. Right across the water is the most incredible view of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle. You can watch the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant right from your room, and the beach is just a short walk away where you can lay on the hammocks. It's so amazing there! And you should see the suites! There's a beautiful honeymoon suite and a few other different suites. Definitely look into Disney's Polynesian Resort. You'll have the time of your life! I can't wait to go back there this summer.
I found this website the other week that has all kinds of great information about Disney's Polynesian Resort and a lot of really great pictures, too. There's some wonderful pictures of the different suites. Check it out...

It all depends on your taste! My husband and I honeymooned at Disney World and had a great time!
What kind of theme do you both like? If tropical is your taste, then I recommend Disney's Polynesian Resort, the Caribbean Beach Resort, The Boardwalk Resort, or the Yaht or Beach Club Resorts. If you love African culture, I recommend the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This happens to be my favorite Disney Resort. Where else can you look out of your balcony and see an open serenghtti with wild animals grazing? It is amazing.
If you like Spanish decor, head over to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You can kayak on their lake and their pool has a giant myan temple!
If you like high-end class with Victorian ambiance, head over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
If you love the great outdoors, but still enjoy luxury - then the Wilderness Lodge Resort is for you!
Visit Disney World's Official website at www.disneyworld.com and take the virtual tour of all of the resorts. This will help you both decide which resort best suits you! All of the Walt Disney World Resorts are great - so it just depends on what themed hotel you'd like to stay at.
Be sure to get the fun Mickey and Minnie bride and groom ear hats to wear! You'll get extra special attention from cast members! :)

I would deffinetly reccomend the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. There is a monorail so it is easy acess to the parks and the hotel is beautiful! The hotel has a victorian theme and is really neat! I would reccomend the Victorian Suite for a honeymoon. It is the most beautiful hotel room in the hotel. This hotel is closest to Magic Kingdom. You can take the monorail to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. You have to take the bus to other parks but it's still worth it to pay a little more. Hope you have a Magical Stay!!

This Site Might Help You.
RE:
which is the best walt disney world resort for a honeymoon?
For my honeymoon me and my fiance want to go to Disney and stay on site. I've gone the past 4 years but I have never stayed on site. I want the best resort for us. The cost doesn't matter but still would like to factor it in a bit. I've skimmed a couple books on the resorts but still...

I would recommend the Polynesian. Very Romantic!!!!
The have a concierge level. That might be nice. You can also request a room with a view of the castle. If you stay there be sure to attend the Luau. They call up newlyweds and couples celebrating an anniversary for a special dance.
Here are a few of my tips.
1.Make your priority seating reservations as soon as possible. Most of the restaurants accept them 90 days from the first day of your vacation. You are aloud to start calling at 7:00 am. Start dialing at 6:58 am and keep hitting redial until you are through. You might even want to call ahead of time and write down the number sequence that you have to punch in. You can get through to a real person faster that way. For instance Cinderella’s Castle usually books up by 7:05am. Call (407) WDW-DINE and ask them the exact date that you can call.
2.If you want to do Fantasmic ask them about the Dinner and a Show option. Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time between the reservation and the show. I think that they will let you have dinner around 2 and still give you priority seating at Fantasmic in the evening.
3.Always plan your afternoon reservations at one of the other parks.
4.The Hoop – De – Doo and the Luau (at the Polynesian) are great evening shows. Your ticket covers an all you can eat meal at your table (not a buffet) and all you can drink Beer, Wine and soft drinks. I believe that you can call up to 2 years in advance. Call ASAP for the best table.
Have Fun!!!!

I think your two choices are the Grand Floridian and Animal kingdom Lodge, the downside to AKL is that it is a bit further away from the parks...except Animal Kingdom of course...polynesian may be your third choice

Grand Floridian. It's a beautiful hotel inside and out. Plus they have a great (albeit) expensive restaurant "Victoria & Albert's ".

Whatever you do...DON'T go to DisneyLAND....go to Disney WORLD. I think Magic Kingdom is the best place for a honeymoon.
