If she was a "you-know-what" this show would have been over a long time ago.
It's only because she is not a "you-know-what" that this is being dealt with in a politically correct manner without fighting and riots.

She is a Hindu. The Times interview with her mother confirms it.
"“I have travelled the world and always been received with respect. This is the first time we seen this,” Mrs Shetty said. The Shettys are an observant Hindu family, with hundreds of statues of Ganesh, the elephant god, placed around the home. It is this religious grounding that will see Ms Shetty through her time in the Big Brother house, her mother said."

She's Hindu.
Thats why she didn't know how to cook chicken - most Hindus are vegetarian - and those that aren't don't usually eat Roast chicken!!! At least she made an effort by cooking for the others and doing something she thought they'd like. Jade and Co were a nasty rude bunch of b1tches to be so horrible to her about it.
Lets see Jade cook an authentic Indian meal? She wouldn't have a freakin' clue!! She seems to live on chips beans and fish fingers (no wonder she looks like a hippo).
Oh and Shilpa can speak several languages as well as perfect English. Can Jade speak Hindi? Or Tamil or Kannada or one of the other Indian Languages? Dont' make me laugh she can barely string a sentence together in coherent English!!

India is about 80% Hindu, so she is about 80% likely to be Hindu. In just the same way that you could say that the UK is about 80% Christian etc
Then again she might be a Christian or a Muslim or a something else entirely or not have a religion at all. What difference does it make to anything?
