I'm hearing ya, it can't really if you keep on top of it by writing in a diary, listening to music and of course keeping in touch with your friends online

LONELINESS cannot kill anybody. If you are a practical person, yo will not remain alone for long spells and must find Friends of one hue or the other. If you are a romantic person, you will always have a friend and then no problems at all. if you are an introvert, you may be in the company of your sadness and melancholy if you are saddled with adverse experiences and the other way round if your experiences have been good and inspiring. in either case, you would have lot to learn and be in some company or the other--company with the self is energizing if it is not for ever! Should you be a person on a constant search, your loneliness is a very temporary phenomenon and you need to have no worries at all on that account. Use your loneliness very well in selecting better friends and, if possible and desire, a life partner as well. All the best for you.

It can lead you to depression. And in the long run, it can lead to heart problems in many ways. Of course (here it comes) if you want a friend, you have to BE a friend first!! (I've been waiting a couple of years to dump that on someone) Cheer up Honey. This world is huge. The only thing we can count on with absolute certainty is CHANGE!! Change will happen whether we want it to or not. Let Answers tide you over. We need you here!! Good Luck!! @8-)

It can hurt you if it's not what you want... but you're also the only one who can change things. Go out more, find a hobby- or sports club to join, ask someone you know superficially out to a movie or for dinner....

That is if you're sure you want to change, I'm a loner by nature and when I was younger had a lot of social pressure from friends... 'you never go anywhere', 'don't you ever go out', blah, blah, blah, so for a while I believed there was something wrong with me while I was really happier by myself. If it's just your friends or your mom telling you you're lonely then don't change a thing and let them talk :)

Nope.
don't find the bad side and don't try to find boredom in it.

find the nice side of lonliness and find peace in it and lonliness will be nice for you and you'll never feel that lonliness will kill.

If you ask God into your life you never have to be lonely again. And btw, what DOESN'T kill you, will make you stronger. If you really want to see lonely, go to a nursing home, as which residents don't receive visitors, then go visit them. Good luck and God Bless.

Not if you don't let it.

Get out there and enjoy the day , either by yourself or being in the company of others.
