No it's not gay, you are fine. You are just into a fetish.. if you can suck your own, more power to you, as most guys can't, but wish they could. No you are not gay. U are not talking about having sex with a guy, you are having sex with yourself, which you have been doing since you were probably 13. See if you can do it, that will end the curiousity, and maybe keep you more flexible as you age. Probably don't want your wife or kids to catch you doing it though.

A fetish is actually a nonsexual object that causes sexual excitement like a stuffed animal or an article of clothing, it is not a sexual act in of itself although that seems to be a common belief. The activity you describe is actually called autofellatio and is a form of masturbation. This is not unheard of and is not a homosexual activity.
