Talk to your OB/Gyn. The last thing you want to do right now is dehydrate yourself.

Simply not having a bowel movement is not the same thing as being constipated. Do you have symptoms of blockage or impaction? Do you experience pain when you do go, or great discomfort as a result of not going? If you are truly constipated, ask your doctor if you can take Colace. It's a stool softener, and IS NOT a laxative. It works gently and slowly, and you would probably take it every day.

Colace is available over-the-counter and is safe to take during pregnancy, BUT YOU SHOULD STILL TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR FIRST. You need to make sure he agrees that you are constipated, give him to opportunity to evaluate you to see if you need tests to find the cause, and he needs to know if you're taking *any* medication.

What do you mean by a "pump"?

Best thing you can do to detox is to drink water and avoid artificial additives in food. Low carb, high protein, moderate fats. Don't diet, but eat lots of GOOD stuff. Lots of water; at least 64 oz per day of something without caffeine, without artificial sweeteners, without Guarana (do you know what that stuff can do to your heart? Think what it could do to a developing baby's heart!)

Making sure you drink plenty of water will keep you hydrated. This is important, because your body needs more fluids as it - and the baby it supplies - grows. It also gives your kidneys some exercise, and the kidneys are where most wastes are removed from your blood. If you remove wastes from your blood efficiently, more can be extracted from your other bodily tissues.

My ex husband's new wife, is currently having her first baby. She came to me with the same question about herself
(my ex and I have a daughter). So I can honestly say that this the ANSWER. FIBER SURE. The clear really is tasteless, although it will cost you about $13.00, it will last you a while. You can take it 3 times a day (she takes 1 to 2 times a day, as needed), and will mix in wi th ANYTHING. Food, drinks, ANYTHING! AND... is completely SAFE for you and the baby!

Eat a bowl of oatmeal daily. It works wonders.

A pump? I have no idea what that is all about!

Try taking Colace.
