I have other dimmers in the house but they do not make the buzzing noise. Could this be caused by the light bulb wattage? They are currently 100 watt bulbs. Should I be using something lower?

There must be some loose connection somewhere as dimmers are from light connections(brighter) to a heavier connection(dim).
Locate the buzzing sound and fix it, but my guess is , it is in the dimmer control panel. Loose and needs to be repaired and for the worst, buy a new one.

Try the lower bulbs -like 60 watt. If still buzzes the switch may be wired incorrectly or dimmer could be faulty. Make sure to use incandescent bulbs and not the small florescent ones. I'll bet dimmer is shot.

When you replaced the switch for a dimmer did you replace the back box for a 25mm one as well? If not that could also affect your dimmer causing it to make a buzzing noise. Have you checked your connections are correct on the light fitting? Make sure they are not loose. If that does not work suggest take it back and get another. If that also does the same then you should get an electrician to have a look at it.

what is the light bulb in the dimmer switch.. Whatever was in there last should be the same light bulb because that could be the problems that would mess up that socket. What wot was the light bulb (power)that can be the problem also. it should be that one.

It's not the 100-watt bulbs. The buzzing is due to a poor connection within the switch. You need to replace it.

Change the dimmer switch.

It's the switch, not the bulb. There is probably a loose wire or something, you should call an electrician.
