I definitely am sick of all of the media coverage of Obama. The media has been touting him as a Presidential candidate since he first won election to the Senate 2 years ago.

And Reo, do you want to make a bet that Obama will not be the next President of the US? He will not win because mainstream Democrats are actually the real racist and will not vote for him.

If you do not believe me just take a look at the Maryland Democratic Senatorial Primary this past year. Even in a state like Maryland that has a large black population, in the two most populated regions of the state, Baltimore City and Prince George's County, a popular black candidate did not make it out of the primary and into the general election. Why? because mainstream Democrats did not vote for him.

The real reason Obama is being pushed to the forefront by the media is that they are using him as a pawn, just as they did with Howard Dean during the last Presidential election. Last time, they pushed Dean as the leader before the primaries, then categorized him as an extreme, crazed liberal to scare people into voting for Kerry, whom they portrayed as a centrist candidate. Even though the truth of the matter is that Kerry is much more liberal than Howard Dean.

They are doing the same thing again, pushing Obama in an attempt to mobilize their base into voting for Hillary Clinton.

To be honest, if the Republicans are smart, which they often times are not; and nominate a moderate candidate from a big electoral state like New York, California, Florida, or Texas, preferably a state they do not normally win like say, I don't know, New York, they will win hands down in 2008.

I am. Oh how I wish another Ronaldus Maximus would arrive and send the socialist democrats back to the pit they belong in.

Anyone who thinks Barack Hussein Osama is a "moderate" needs to check on his voting record and statements while he was a socialist nobody in Illinois.

Note to Mindy H - His middle name IS Hussein - and his father was a muslim, so he does have a connection to the middle east. you should check YOUR facts first. And I don't care what his religion or skin color is. I care about his completely leftist ideology, and would rather not see America dragged closer to some socialist UN-run world.

An exerpt from the article referenced below, written by Debbie Schlussel:
----------
Many months ago, readers began asking me whether Barack Obama is Muslim. Since he identifies as a Christian, I said, "no," and responded that he was not raised by his Kenyan father.

But, then, I decided to look further into Obama's background. His full name--as by now you have probably heard--is Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Hussein is a Muslim name, which comes from the name of Ali's son--Hussein Ibn Ali. And Obama is named after his late Kenyan father, the late Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., apparently a Muslim.

And while Obama may not identify as a Muslim, that's not how the Arab and Muslim Streets see it. In Arab culture and under Islamic law, if your father is a Muslim, so are you. And once a Muslim, always a Muslim. You cannot go back. In Islamic eyes, Obama is certainly a Muslim. He may think he's a Christian, but they do not.

Then, there are the other items in his background. As best-selling author Scott Turow wrote in Salon, Obama went to a Muslim school for two years in Indonesia. His mother, Anna, married an Indonesian man (likely another Muslim, as Indonesia is Muslim-dominated and has the largest Islamic population in the world).

I am in the way some news channels project Osama, oops, Obama as a new and refreshing kind of leader who will bring new politics to America. LOL! What a joke! How much experience has this guy had? 2 years in Congress. That's it!
At least Fox News comes right out and says he is inexperienced and YOUNG. He is in his meager 40's, but other presidents we have had so young, like Kennedy, and (eww) Clinton, had experience of many years as either senator, representative, or governor. (I apologize for mentioning Clinton, since he was a rotten president, but he was young with a lot more experience in government than Obama).

Yeah I am. Here comes some other completely irrational legislations like Affirmative action. Bet if he was president, New Orleans would be the cleanest nicest city in America. Don't get me started, I don't need to think I would become the minority more than I already am. He wont win office. He's just trying to make a statement, and really all he's saying is look, America is racist. I think he's got the Martin Luther King syndrome. I just hope he doesn't have too many dreams.

Get use to it! but it should be a lot of fun, it will be interesting to see how long before the Clinton's find something on him to bring him down, because you know behind the scene Hillary is seething.
His cocaine use will be interesting to see how the media spins it, if they will praise him for overcoming drug abuse, because I know if he were Republican it would be a death nell,so enjoy the ride.

Take a lesson from the '04 election: the more the media trumps him up, the more votes the republicans will get. If you are a Republican, sit back and enjoy the entertainment; if you are a Democrat, watch and worry.

He is a good speaker but I don't think he will win. In fact I don't think a Senator has ever won. I am not sure but if I am wrong let me know. But back to Obama, again I don't think he will win. He is new and really has no experience. He is believing his own press.

They media has gone way overboard with Obama. It is clear that he will be pushed to the front with the biased media spotlight shining on him. They are overdoing it and it is getting old.
