Think of your brain as a kind of organic computer. While there are some differences between how your brain works and a computer works, there are several similarities. You can add powerful programs to your brain by learning mental skills...judgment, creativity, learning, problem solving, decision making, etc. Learn new ways of doing all these things. College is a formal, although expensive way to gain these cognitive programs, but if you work at it, you can learn them on your own. Also, open your mind to powerful new data...more and better facts, concepts, principles, experiences, etc. With better programs and better data, your mind will be awesomely powerful. We're talking about LEARNING. That's how you do it. That's how everybody does it.

In sports, what matters is the ability to concentrate on what's happening around you, the ability to use your skills without thinking about them, and the motivation to give 120% in intensity and hustle. The above preparation makes all this possible.
