That's a high price to pay.

LOL now lets see if GAS prices drop.... and no this doesn't make geniuses out of anyone. Trading one life because we are too stupid and lazy to come up with a better idea than burning toxins which become WORSE toxins after they're burned, is not even rational thought, let alone the logical way geniuses think.

So you know why we as Americans are fighting each OTHER over the Middle East? Its because some people dont want to hear another country (or countries) have so much control over their lives and the other half want to do something about that control. Invading and taking their oil is not the rational solution (and surely its not the American way of doing things, where are those Republican 'Family Values' now? Do 'Family Values" include home invasions too?) and a President who truly had the best interests of Americans at heart would understand this.

Seems the solution is pretty clear: Gasoline is expensive because everyone thinks we need it so badly. So, work toward removing gasoline (and petroleum products altogether) from the list of things we'lll use to power our world. Just commit to that as a goal and WATCH how fast the price of gasoline drops. . Watch how it PLUMMETS the day someone announces a new energy source and an effective way of storing and/or transporting it. Arabs will drop the price so they can still sel it, and we'll buy it til the next artificial shortage hits and we go thru this BS all over again. But do that, commit to a new direction which has NOTHING to do with oil, and you marginalize that whole section of the world. When they no longer have a commodity we NEED, then they can pretty much can go back to killing each other over wording in a book.

Why do you human beings nonetheless communicate on the subject of the fundamentals? Why do left wingers save putting forward the comparable dumb information? Are you an American? Do you think all of the rubbish you study interior the Left wing media? there are various reason the US went over there, purely submit to in ideas that it took the two the properly suited Wingers and the LEFT Wingers to make that conflict take place. You human beings ought to look for something which will help carry those to events mutually or the Tea party will improve and improve. Again your disingenous argument about a war for oil makes no sense. Bush and his "oil cronies" own US oil interests, those interests were more valuable when Iraqi oil was under embargo and the world's oil supply was artificially capped. By liberating Iraq and removing the embargo the value of his "cronies'" oil went down because there was a larger supply. How does lowering prices help his buddies make money?

The reason the price went down was due more to the break even point for fuel from other hydrocarbon sources, such as coal. The break even point is around $65 dollars a barrel. When the post war oil prices went up to around $70 dollars everyone started looking at various ways to extract oil from other sources. The price dropped and everyone dropped their plans.

(crude prices are up 30 cents today on fears OPEC will reduce production)

Was it Bush? Or is it because of congress? The war is still going on in Iraq! He hasn't sent the extra troops over yet! He did come up with a plan, that's about it. The one major change is congress.

Maybe the democrats are having an effect!!

Oh really eh? Why did gas go up 20 cents a gallon around here the weekend Cheney went to Saudi Arabia.

They have a plan and they are going to stick to that plan and we are all just going to take it, because really what else is there to do.
People are under the misconception they just have to do what the government tells them, forgetting that the people control the government and not the other way around. This government is about as corrupt as it gets yet we just keep electing a devil from the two party system every four years. We deserve it at this point.

That's why I voted for him. Except you do realize gas is still extremely expensive, and has been for the past 3 years. When we start seeing $1.39 / gallon, then I will be convinced he really pillaged Iraq for oil.

Your theory holds about as much water as a sieve. The US doesn't get an oil from Iraq. Typical lib, if you don't know the facts, make 'em up as you go.
