My ex husband had a Midland sideband radio...a D-104 Microphone and a 500 watt kicker...My Handle was
Mrs. Lonely KRL 721..(FCC rules at one time you had to give out call letters) the one and only...Boom, Boom..10..10 and in on the side. We were in Massachusettes..(laugh) My husbands radio splashed all 40 channels including the sideband ones! We talked to people across the country..skip rolled in here around 5PM everyday. We were on mid to late 1980's....My husband was an auto mechanic and he and I did a lot of good deed's with people broken down and needing landlines...cell phones were not around at that time. I had a home base radio too. Break for that Stormtrooper...Break..you got your ears on...walk it back Storm..
Take Care...The one and only Mrs. Lonely

I don't remember the call sign,I hardly ever used the CB radio,I sold mine on Ebay a couple years ago,I think it might have been Firefox. (from a Clint Eastwood Movie)
I had mine in the early 80's,played around with them in the 70's but never owned one I don't think,I bought it thinking it might be good if I was travelling for emergency purposes. This was before cell phones,GPS,and all that other good stuff.

I was "Cinderella's Step Sister" and then "GMC". That was back in West Allis, Wisconsin (HWY 100) in the late 80's/early 90's.
