I think one reason why aliens don't visit is because they probably see us as hostile and barbaric. We can't even get along with eachother dispite minor differences. How can we even get along with aliens with who are majorly different in comparison to how we view people from foreign countries?

Possibly. Or perhaps they don't see anything here they really want for themselves.

If they can travel the galaxies and pick up diamonds that fall like rain from the clouds over some distant planet - what could we possibly have that they would want or need?

Might be lack of interest. Wonder what makes us think they would answer our signals - do we actually think they care about the advancement of our species?

I think it's a pretty one-sided need. We need their technology, and their knowledge of space in order for our own species to evolve and travel beyond our own horizons.

Another thought I have is that, if aliens did make an appearance - what says it will be friendly and without ulterior motives? Would they farm us for their own purposes? Would they eat us?

Ya never know. I hope it's all good.

If any aliens were to visit us, we would know immediately. In order to travel here, it would take an advanced civilization and tremendouse resources. Given that, the only reason they would come, would be for their benefit...to take advantage of our resources. Look at our own history. Why did the early explorers come to the New World?..to seek riches and to conquer. That is why scientists no longer send radio signals into space hoping for an answer. They only listen. Hopefully, we have not revealed our location; for if a techonologically advanced civilization finds us, they won't wait around to disclose themselves. It will most likely be the end of us.

All they choose is a few endurance (50 years might want to favor to do it) and some EMPs. Set them off and watch the wars we strive against over what little nutrition we are able to produce without cutting-part agricultural equipment. Or...heck... regulate ebola right into a persistent airborne virus... ninety+% mortality fee might want to seem after people really quickly... yet then... Why difficulty? there is no longer some thing in the international in words of factors that would want to't be found everywhere else you seem in the evening sky, except per chance existence.

Yes... aliens if they are more intelligent, must be ignoring us as no good fools and avoiding us to keep off contamination.

You make it sound like Earth to them is cheese in their cellar. No wonder we're cold. I'd like to think I'm the bottle of plonker to go with though.

If so, I hope they are very, very patient. They will be waiting a long time.
