A lot of folks ask this question. The best way to remove wax from the carpet is to place a white paper towel over the wax. Hold a warm iron on the paper towel for a few seconds. The paper towel will absorb the melted wax. Repeat with another white paper towel until all the wax is removed. If any stain remains they can often be removed by using a small amount of paint thinner. Or use a professional stain remover like Joe Campanelli's stain remover. Best of luck.

1. If you have candle wax in your carpet scrape off as much as possible with a spatula or spoon. If wax is deeply embedded, cover with a white
cloth and apply iron on low setting. Wax will transfer to cloth. Any remaining residue may be removed by using Rug Doctor Spot Remover.

2. Put ice in a plastic bag and then put the plastic bag on the wax to harden. Scrape off excess wax with a dull knife or spatula. Vacuum up the loose pieces. Apply a dry-cleaning solvent, all-purpose spot remover, or spray spot-remover containing a grease solvent such as petroleum naphtha or trichlorethylene. Blot. If any of the stain is left, apply lacquer thinner. Do not soak. Rinse with cool water until the entire residue of the cleaning materials are gone. Blot up the excess moisture.

Depending on how much and if it is spread thin or thick. Ice cubes. The principle is the same as if you were trying to remove peanut butter. Add ice, until the wax hardens, then scrape it off. If it's too thin a carpet cleaner with extremely hot water should remove it.

Put a few layers of paper towel over wax. Then using a hot iron (no steam), iron over paper towel. The heat melts the wax and the paper towel will absorb the wax. Repeat with clean paper towel until all wax has melted.

Scape as much as you can off, then cover with some brown paper (especially if the colour is light) otherwise newspaper will do and run a hot iron over, repeat this until the paper comes up 'dry' be very careful if the carpet is nylon or acrylic.

Take your iron, dont set it real high, then get a damp papertowel
. Cover the spot w paper towel and run the iron over it, it should come right up into the towel.
