This is a way that some plants reproduce without pollination & fertilization. This is a form of Asexual reproduction. Some methods are:
Runners: Above ground stems that spread around the surface and ocassionally take root; strawberries, crabgrass
Bulb: below the ground stem that can turn into a new plant; onions
Tubers: below the ground stem that has new plants growing out of them; "eyes" of white potato (not sweet potatos; they're roots)
Rhisomes: underground stems(?) that spread and ocassionally produce a new plant; some lawn grasses, ferns (maybe), many more.
This is all that I can think of without looking it up.
For more info, research: VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION in plants.
Note: Artificial vegetative propagation is a procedure carried out by gardeners to get new plants . Ex.: cuttings, layering. grafting,
etc.

In nature, plants reproduce various ways, with flowers producing seeds which are blown by the wind or carried off by birds, insects, animals; the seeds come in contact with soil and, if everything works right, a new plant is born. Some plants shoot up new plants via runners, such as crab grass. Some plants, mostly vines, trail along the ground and when certain segments of the plant touch the soil, roots grow, followed by a new plant. Hope it helps.
