Crikey, was it really the eighties? I'm getting old, I'd have pegged it at early 90's with all that crappy dance music on it. Yes it was Waterman and Stachan. I think the idea was you watched it when you got in from clubbing in a provincial area and had to think, "I wish I lived in London so I could have another couple of hours on acid, waving my arms about and making a complete a'rse of myself. The funniest bit was a section "have you pulled yet?" in which some sad git would be challenged to pull by the end of the programme. It worked in El Saddo's favour because he'd get back on the telly, so some drunken bint would attach herself to him in the hope of being shunted to instant fame (this was pre-big brother, so talentless, gobby nobodies didn't get much air time). For the sake of snogging this pratt, you could get on TV and meet the famous Waterman and Strachan.

As you can tell, it was a great favourite of mine, which I would only watch under sufference at house parties when I hadn't pulled either and actually be jealous that the sad git on "have you pulled yet?" was getting some on account of his guarunteed five minutes in front of the cameras, whereas I was sat watching the drivel because it was better than watching my drunken mate who had pulled remove said girl's clothing and get to it in a sleeping bag, as is the time-honoured tradition at teen house parties (I'm not THAT old!).

There were these three dancers, who I think you were supposed to fancy - a couple of nondescript girls in bikinis who girated a lot and a black dude in trunks and a ridiculous party wig - the type normally sported at Blackpool sea front by six year olds and drunk glaswegians.

In short - you didn't miss much!

The Hitman and Her was a British television programme hosted by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan from August 1988 until 1992, produced for Granada Television at first by Music Box Productions, and later by Clear Idea TV through to the very last edition. It was a late night clubbing show shown in the early hours of Sunday mornings. The second half of the Saturday/Sunday version was repeated during the following night.

Yes it was presented by Pete Waterman and Michaela strachan, basically they hosted their show in a different nightclub each week, with silly games and dancing competitions, combined with the latest club music played while a camera roamed the dance floors showing drunken revellers making fools out of themselves, lol great fun, shown in the early hours to cater for those people that had just got home from a night out and were not quite ready to go to bed.

Pete Waterman although would be classed as old now still looked old and out of place then with micheala strachan as his side kick. the'd travel the country's night clubs every week playing house music to people at home at 2am. They'd have various guests on it singing a tune. I believe Take That were on it just before they hit the big time ! Very cheesy show

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitman_and_Her.

l vaguely remember coming home from the clubs and this was on. Looks like a self promotion show for Pete Watermans acts.

Was very very cheesey if i remember due to low budgets and the fact that a lot of the people on it were muppets.
