I only have 1 quarter left in school or about 5 months. I'm trying to figure out when a good time would be to start applying for jobs. I'm getting my associate's in IT-network security. I currently work for the Home Depot and have looked at several corporate entry-level positions I'm qualified for. But I'm not srue if its too early to start applying or not. Thanks for the help.

start applying now. it sometimes takes a long time to get a job. if you start now you might be able to find a job that will start you when you graduate. in your cover letter tell them that you will be completing your degree in 5 months. a lot of times companies hire recent graduates a few months before they actually graduate. good luck...and get started!

I started applying for jobs 9 months before I graduated with a bachelors, and still didnt have an offer until two months AFTER I graduated. This was after 300+ resumes sent out.

Simple answer is, its never too early to start applying.
