The so called "Merit System". In which you get paid, and receive raises based on your job performance. Nice theory, but in practice the human element of liking or disliking a person enters into it.

i know where where this is taken from....Sec 3 social studies book.

i am also studying the same thing in social studies..so let me try to answer..
in singapore this is applicable..i do not know other countries..
reward is usually given when one does a good job or result under government instituition or organization
this reward is given based on merits also known as meritocracy.
if u do well, u will be rewarded either by scholarship or other help from government which help u in educatioon
this reward is given so that followers will strive for excellence and try their best to achieve their highest goal.
this is a good thing and should be carried out by every governent of every country in the world.
clear meaning -- if u work hard, will get your fruit that you were waiting for...
governent practices this so that young people can achieve their ambitions within their abilities..
