I am stunned. Your friend "found" a dog - was any effort made to return her to her home? I read some other Qs you wrote, and it seems you have been looking for a Yorkie, preferably one with papers. I think you want a 4-legged status symbol. This dog is a living being, not a stuffed animal. Get off your selfish a$$ and get that animal some medical attention. If you "really like her", you simpering hypocrite, then care for her. And if you can't afford to take her to a vet, give her to someone who can. It's not a "rescue case" if you just took her in because she's cutesy and fluffy and you deny her medical care. Rescue her by freeing her from pain, poor health, uncertainty, and suffering... TAKE HER TO A VET!! She should see a vet anyway, for shots, worming, checkups!!! God, what is the matter with you?!

The cost is very dependent on the area you live and the place you go to get the leg fixed.

I have a suggestion though, go to the humane society vet. Sometimes they are cheaper or will offer billing plans if you can't afford to pay for the work upfront.

As for the dog, she will heal if you take her there soon, but it could be possibly that the dog's leg is not broken, but deformed from a break a while ago and may need an amputation. This is not that bad for a dog, as they can still easily walk and run and the likes with one leg. I only suggest this if your friend has had her limping since December. If this is true and the leg was broken at one point, it could be that the leg healed improperly too.

dont say where you are from, but where I come from the VET and the animal hospital are the same........... No matter what the dog needs to be seen by a VET. Take the dog and as they are checking it over ask them if it is broken what the charge will be and go from there. They can also tell you the approximate age of the animal--if it were me and the dog turned out to be quite old, and it may suffer with pain with the leg then I would have the animal put to sleep just so it wouldnt suffer. The choice has to be yours to decide, but you really do need to talk to the Vet.

Sounds like your friend knew the dog's leg was broken and decided to give it away instead of dealing with it. Your dog needs to go to the vet immediately. If the leg has been broken for a long time it's possible that it won't be able to be fixed and will have to be removed, but that's better than her being in pain now.

Chances are is that someone lost the dog.
The dog needs to go to the vet and you should also try to locate the owner. Go to a vet and tell them the dog was found. Explain that if there is no owner or nobody claims it, you would be interested in adopting it.

i think that u have to take her to the vet immediately because the broken leg could be worse, then u have also to ask ur friend to help u in paying!!i think that is the best thing to do

you need to at least call the vet. tell them you found her and somethings wrong with her leg. they'll probably have to advertise her a found pet, but make it clear that you'd like to keep her if no-one claims her. sometimes a vet will donate his time etc for a rescue case. good luck

call an animal shelter, tell them your story, see if they can get a vet to help you low cost.
