he is either sick or is not warm enough. check cage temp, feed him some tomato and collard greens. if he is active after a while and color is normal then he is fine.

if he was hurt during the transfer take that into consideration. if he is really old it could be his time.

I owned an iguana as soon as earlier than. I would not advocate letting it roam loose. They must have plenty of warmth and basking places. You would not be ready to get your apartment to the correct temperature. And they would without difficulty be harm by means of the opposite animals. Or you would no longer see it and step on it on coincidence. There are plenty of matters that would cross improper. And they don't seem to be the variety of puppy that you'll be able to potty teach or something so it'll simply potty in which ever it feels find it irresistible. I strongly advocate that you simply maintain it in a tank. Or you'll be able to construct your possess cage for it. Use PVC pipe and twine mesh. That approach it will probably climb and feature plenty of room to roam round in. Just ensure you deliver it one cool aspect and one hot and a shelf to bask on.

Because of the new environment you created the creature is stressing because its adapting to it. It takes time to adapt. So give it some time and hopefully it will be comfortable. If it still hasnt, another possible reason why its changed color is that it has reached sexual maturity and needs a mating partner. So go out and buy a mate.

You have to remember Iguana's are cold-blooded, they need external sources of heat. Make sure your not exposing it to cold. Also they need ultra violet radiation (UV light or direct sunlight) to heat their core body temp.
