I don't see what the wife's got to do with anything, I know many Frenchmen but hardly a one who can control his wife, or does even try.

Sarkozy is an utter faschist idiot, and he will deliver France to the US-Americans as another poodle behind the UK, that's why I don't like him.

I hate him, and for the right reasons, after all, I stand to have to suffer through at least 5 years of him if he ever gets elected. He's a neo liberal far right minded demagogue who will pander to the rich and spite the poor and slavishly follow all cues from washington, even if given by a complete idiot. He'll pass no good laws, only those that suit his cronies and fat cat friends, and dissipate what little's left of France's international prestige.

And you're a fool, mr questioner, it's arrivist ultraliberals like him who are the least likely to put problems in Turkey's joining the EU. Another reason for me to try and prevent him from getting the job, of course, since Turkey in the EU would be of great benefit to the Turks, but of none to Europe, and Turkey should only become eligible when non muslims are legally allowed to own real estate and the eastern thrid of the country has been turned over to the new state of Kurdistan.

As for our political people being an overall bad lunch, that's quite a sad truth.

Your comment "if he cannot control his wife - so how can he control the whole of France" indicates exactly the type of bigotry that makes me feel Turkey is not yet mature enough to join the EU.
