Women do this too. I worked at a bachelorette luncheon the day before the wedding and all the bride to be talked about was how she had slept with her ex-boyfriend the night before to get in a last hurrah before the wedding. I agree with you that this is awful, but some people are just too selfish to see the harm in it.

First off you don't keep very good company if this is happening to you repeatedly. Second, yes you should be offended and outraged. Would you want it done to you? Then for the sake of the sisterhood that embraces all women tell the soon to be wives the next time this happens. Or just club the fiance over the head with a cast iron skillet and let him do the explaining. I have heard of it happening on Jerry Springer and in movies but thankfully I've yet to know anyone that dirty in my life.
Somehow you must have given off a vibe that this kind of behavior would be acceptable. Maybe you should really look at the impressions you are giving people. And in the future use better judgment with whom you choose to associate yourself.

Wow! That is terrible!!! Why do people bother to get married if they want to have sex with other people. They should stay single!!! It makes me wonder how many people do this 'one last sexual encounter' thing. I don't blame you for being highly offended to be asked to be the 'one last time' person. I find it appalling that your ex would ask you to have sex with him before he got married. He obviously doesn't respect women and doesn't deserve to have the love of a woman. I hope you are ok and I wish you a great 2007!

wow, that is totally crazy. i am glad i didnt do anything like that. that is just horrible. if you are marrying someone, you are supposed to be building a strong bond. doing something like that is just horrible. it shows that you dont really love the person that you were engaged to. if a person is not ready to settle down, then they should at least give their partner some heads up so that the relationship would not get that serious. i cant believe people these days have taken marriage as lightly as lightly as they do. this is one of the reasons marriages dont last as long anymore, people always wanting other sex for some reason. it is sick and horrid. i hope you dont even talk to that guy ever again. he will learn how big a mistake it was to do that to you.

I believe sex before marriage is wrong, but I still think that whole cow/milk phrase is so wrong and offensive. Does she realize that "buying the cow" is basically agreeing to sell your sex for a price. If you are negotiating the price than you are A WHORE. If you are going to go with the whole barnyard logic, then why should the girl BUY THE PIG if all she wants is a little sausage now and then!??

He was not ready for marriage at all! Sneaking sex in before marriage is a way to try to get out of the marriage without having to call the wedding off.
I would never do this. You were 100% right to kick your fiance out.

It just goes to show you that its all about image and not substance. Those guys were all about the image of marriage, not the substance of love and devotion. Of course to be honest, their wifes are into image too, for if they were into substance their fiances would have been in their beds with them instead being left alone. If the women had the substance of being a soulmate with those men then they would have wanted to be with them in the flesh as much as possible.
And you too must be one of image, for if you were a woman of substance, how could they ever have thought you were up for some meaningless sex?

I bumped into a girl I went to school with one Friday night, we ended up at the pub for a drink, then back at my place and had sex. She then asked me to drive her home (I wanted her to spend the night), so I asked why. She nearly knocked me over when she said, I'm getting married tomorrow. In hindsight, I wouldn't have done it if I'd known, hey, I was a bad boy but not that bad!

these men are looking at marriage like it's prison. getting married is not about not being single anymore. getting married is joining two lives together because they love each other and don't want anyone else! i am glad i am not one of those wives!
