I am so confused about what has been happening, my daughter has had a few days off college due to illness and she watches it all flipping day on SKY. i have seen no evidence to this effect, i am unsure as to where the racism exists, i did overhear the Jermain say about White Trash, To be so PC these days is ridiculous. Shilpur, seems to be a nice enough girl albeit a little too refined for the likes of the BB house, similarly Jermain, Cleo and Dirk. JADE, her mother, boyfriend, Danielle and Jo are all similar people that are vry different to the first group. Isn't it more a case of the type of people who are in there that click with each other as within any group. I don't think racism is an issue. I do think that there are many do gooders ( Sensitive people blowing things out of all proportion, rabble rousers) of all creeds and colours that are making something out of nothing. I am white and took no offence to Jermain's remarks. Really.... world, get a grip. No offence is meant, simply a matter of different folks and different strokes. Everyone needs to just chill a little and appreciate people for who they are not pick up on and read negative racism into everything. If we were all PC none of us would ever open our mouths for fear that we have said the wrong thing!!!

I totally agree, there has been nothing different on this show than any other big brother show, in past shows we have seen a lot more cruel things said and done to housemates.
No-one complains about people immitating any other accent, like scottish, cockney, scouse, welsh, geordie etc. its sickening that these people wish to see shilpa treated any differently from anyone else, that is in itself rascist.
as for the bitchyness, it has happened in every show to date, but just coz she's asian everyone kicks up a fuss, again, why should she be treated any differently to anyone else?
I have watched almost all the live coverage, and it is in my opinion not acts of rascism at all, just everyday life regardless to race, color, creed, religion, etc.

I tend to agree. Some people are too quick to look for a racist motive. In this case I think that Shilpa, is this the correct spelling, is just a hard person to like.
It is true however that people of small intellect will always resort to bullying behaviour when they meet someone they don't get on with. I bet they would be horrified if they thought their behaviour was being interpreted as racist.

Violent attacks by any nationality against another is not to be tolerated. Exactly what motivates an attack might not always be to do with race. However, here we have a case where someone of a different race is being made an outcast, because she is not understood by a bunch of chaves. This kind of ganging up is what you find in a school. These are grown people who unknowingly are being racist because of their poor upbringing such behaviour should not be allowed to continue.

How very true..You've hit the nail on the head..
I find it highly offencive that sleazy tabloids will do anything to sell a paper and considering the people that read them what do you expect, if Asian communities took their head out of their *** they might realise how ignorant they are being... the bollywood star thinks she's above everybody else because she's worth 15 million and made over 50 movies.
If anything she's a great actress...boohoo vote her out and let her go cry to mommy!

totally agree, people go into big brother and they know what goes on, they all bully/pick on people...remember Sam the transexual from scotland? they behaved towards her appallingly and also grace called aislene a wigga, nobody complained then...shilpa is annoying full stop, not to do with her colour or race, she is a proper pain in the bum..and to say its racist not to eat a chicken thats too spicy or under done, is just political correctivness gone mad..is Shilpa even aware that she is being racially abused? it doesnt appear so

I see your point, but think it has more to to do with the b1tchy bullying than racism. Yesterday morning 200 complaints, then the paper headlines, then the MP in the commons!
It all blew out of proportion and people decided to get on the bandwagon and complain!
Nothing better to to do I guess!

I personally think people cry racism too easily now days, and think the fact that white people can supposedly not be racistly attacked is utter b*llox.
I know people who use the fact that the majority of people are so scared of being accused of being racist that they use it to their advantage.
I think those 10,000 people need to fix up get a life and realise its TV would 10,000 people complain if Danielle's Liverpudlian accent was mocked I think not.
