Yes -lots. Sometimes it's very difficult to be "in the room" when you've got things outside it to worry about.

Mentally in the same room a lot with my sister - wierd eh? We've lived miles from each other for almost 20 years but we seem to have a bit of ESP going on.

I've been miles away from someone but mentally in the same room as them in a pleasurable way because I missed them...Bloody hell the first one is an every day occurence in the same house as my family drifting off into my own little world is what keeps me sane.....

Oh yeah know the feeling (same room, miles away). Kinda like being in a room full of people and feeling alone.

Unlike everyone else I don't think it's mental or boredom. I have had this a number of times and feel that it's a healthy imagination exercise. (unless of course you in a room with someone and mentally miles away butchering them in a slaughterhouse!)

I do that all the time. If Im not interested in what they are talking about I kindof just float away. If someone is far off and Im on the phone or something than I almost feel them there

Yes, almost all the time.
Every day in my office, when my colleague talking about their "hard life" and "low salary", I´m 2200 miles away, with my love one.

The first one happens to me all the time... I drift away from certain people, because what is going on inside my head is much more interesting!!!

Yes to the former, my ex was like that, and
no to the latter unless, let's say, while on the phone or the Internet. . .
