If a guy claims to totally respect lesbians, has lesbian friends etc. but still looks at lesbian porn for his own gratification, does he truly respect them? I know it's a strange question, but it popped into my mind following a personal experience and I wondered what opinions people might have.
A good friend of mine has very close friends who are lesbians. He seems totally indifferent to their sexuality (i.e. he's not one of these people who seems to think lesbians were created for his own erotic pleasure!). However, I found (I wasn't looking for it, I just found it!) a load of sapphic/lesbian/girl-on-girl porn on his computer and it's left me a little confused as to whether he really does respect lesbianism as much as he claims to...

First off, please don't be insulting. I don't appreciate being called a "nazi". I'm asking the question because I'm curious as to people's opinions, not because I have one of my own that I expect you to agree with.
If you can't be respectful and objective about the question, why bother answering?

If you can only respect groups you have no sexual interest in at all then I only respect children and animals.
I think that if he was spying on lesbians having sex then this would be disrespectful. But looking at porn stars having nude fun is just that and nothing more. The porn stars would not consider it to be disrespectful so why should anyone else.
If he was looking at straight porn does that mean he has no respect for any living man or woman as he finds images of nude men and women attractive?
Generally men like lesbian porn because they find nude men unattractive (or are too attracted too them for their own comfort) and not because they think women were created just to satisfy them. I know a lot of women who like porn with gay men in it.
As I said before if finding someone or something sexually appealing is a form of disrespect then I personally won't ever claim to respect adult humans again.

Yeah you tell them! Im a lesbian I dont think that is degrading as the women who take part in it probably like doing it otherwise why not find something else to make money. I think your friend can still respect me even though he has it (It just helps the process along!!! ha ha) Things are only degrading if it effects an individual or group of people. The world at large will not think differently about me as a lesbian because of that stuff.

Your question is not strange.
The fact that your friend respects lesbians has nothing to do for his sexual attraction to lesbian sex acts portrayed in magazines and/or movies.
I love all my lesbian friends and respect them. They are not only my best friends, to me they are my sisters, they are my best family.
I am straight and married, and don't watch porn. But I once had the same fantasy that your friend is now having. I never, ever, would have disrespected my best friends, my beloved sisters.
Maybe your friend is the same way. Be understanding with him. Be his friend, and be his sister.

I think it sounds like he respects lesbians, and at the same time he is probably fascinated with it too. (hence, finding all the porn on his computer) He's only looking so whats the harm in that? Most men fantasize about it, and he's no different. I wouldn't be concerned.

Lesbian love is a very strange thing,most males have a fantasy about it.Unlike gay sex between two males it always seems more natural.
How many men have asked their wives or girlfriends about it?Quite often the answer would be that even those who had not tried it would give it a go.

I feel we the males are always seeking for girls as sex partners whenever there is a chance and so we never respect a normal female after having sex with her and so lesbians are far away talk.

I think he might find lesbian porn a little less rewarding as it hasn't been made with the heterosexual male in mind.

Well, he's just being a fairly typical man, babe.
I respect lesbians, and I get turned on by lesbian porn; but I am not obsessed with it.
If he is obsessed with it, that is maybe a different matter - but it is not necessarily anything to do with his views of his lesbian friends;more his view of women full-stop.
