I guess any answer is a good answer, some questions require a longer answer, but most don't.....
For me, keep them short and sweet.....

If the question can be answered completely with a short answer then that is what should be done. If the question asks or requires clarification, then it is ok to provide that information also. However, some people do tend to go on and on and on. Maybe they like the sound of their fingers typing.

I dont know, it depends on the question. I usually leave long answers(compared to most) so i kinda would like long answers to get a full understanding. Get someone elses opinion, some other point of view..etc..cutting it short this time...lol

Brevity is an art that many people have not mastered.
It's especially annoying when someone copies-and-pastes an incredibly long answer from Wikipedia, or another internet source, doesn't credit the source, and tries to pass themselves off as intelligent. I'd rather have an opinion to most of my questions than a reference.

I'm happy if I get enough that are worth reading-sometimes I only get up to a few answers when I've seen this question get over 100 answers! yes, I agree long answers may not be good. (what I don't like are long questions!)

I like a decent answer to the question but I've seen people quoting an entire website to answer one of mine. I just want something simple and for the self important buttholes to shut up and stop trying to show off their vocabulary.

Well it depends on the question I'm asking...if its some random, I don't care, question than no but if its a serious question and I want a good explaination than most of the time yes. It all depends on the question...but I hate the people who go on and on just b/c they can and want to be chosen.

I like short, smartass answers, they're always funnier unless the person is attacking me or the question I asked because they interpreted it the wrong way.
