Only want it for looking at the net, and doing word documents. Was looking at the SPV M600 as can get it as an upgrade on my contract. Any comments?

For word documents, yes. However, for looking at the net it can be very restricting as you will only get text and images not spread over the full page. Some forms will not load therefore for browsing the net a laptop is a hell of a lot more useful.

Well for the internet and word docs a PDA with a large screen would be great because you could use an external keyboard, however using it for anything other than what you said would be a triffle tricky.

I use both, but only because ido a lot of work presenting and some programming. If I didn't then i would just used my PDA (although without my desktop I'd be lost.

I should say you have both advantages and disadvantages, it will be a best option to decide it yourself

If you are getting it for free as an upgrade go for it you are not loosing anything, you can buy a laptop when you think you need it and have enough money to buy a good one.

Good luck

No. I would not give up my laptop--it has so much more functionality, memory, and reliability than my PDA!!

Of course its not as good, but if you want it for word processing, surely it will be more handy with a ful sized qwerty keboard.
