If you enjoy them why and how do they compare with todays comedy films (do we have any British ones)? Leslie Philips, Barbara Windsor and Jim dale to name but a few that were amongst the resident mottle crew to star in these black and white films.

I understand it's to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Carry On film. Bad idea. Basically it won't work for the same reason that the later Carry On films didn't work, that is that the British film industry by the late sixties/early seventies had become obsessed with "saucy" alleged comedies full of dolly birds and leering old pervs, and they were all pretty poor. And this film will just be a return to that era, so will also be pretty poor. Plus, who could replace Sid James, Kenneth Williams, et al?
