No. Assuming youre in the house, and the house is above freezing, you dont. even if it got to 32 in the house, the water wouldnt freeze right away.
Being on a well doesnt have anything to do with it either. If you had city water, you would have the same concerns. The line from your well is deep enough that it wont freeze, and the only real worry you have about lines in the house would be any that are on outside walls. If you had no source of heat in the house and the power had been off for some time, you would want to keep an eye on the temp inside. If you are really worried about it, having a kerosene heater ready as a backup is never a bad idea. If youre not in the home at all.... well you really should be winterizing it.

power has nothing to do with it....
when temp drops below 32* one normally turns a tap on to drip.
this very slight drip moves water thru pipe to prevent freeze up..
if power is off --pump won't come on anyway-- but some water will still be force thru line for awhile.
opening taps when water can't move won't help prevent pipes from freezing and bursting...
actually..when power comes back on---might cause a bigger mess if no one remembers to turn off or if no one is at home...
power off all taps should be left closed....
if power goes out--a pump should be turned off anyway..
you would not want it to start up on its own with poss froze water in its tank.. it will burn itself up....cycling...points ect..
always turn that circuit breaker off if power does go out..
also a line could freeze and break--pump comes on and makes a mess...

No, if you are on a well its a safe bet you live in the country. You should own an APU, you can own one from $250 to $600 that will work fine for you, and keep every thing else working.

yes, anytime the lines could freeze you should open the lines to keep them running a bit. but in your case you should find a way to drain them cause they will not run without power.. water standing still in the lines will bust in cold temps. open faucets will give some relief but not enough if it gets very cold.

DONT WORRY ABOUT THE WELL PUMP/ TAPS. MY CONCERN WOULD BE MAKING SURE THAT ALL APPLIANCES TURNED OFF TV,VCR,DISH,LAMPS ECT ....ARE OFF. SO YOU DONT BLOW THINGS UP WHEN POWER COMES BACK ON DUE TO POWER SURGE.

Yes, leave them wide open, so when they thaw out you can flood your house.

You should insulate those pipes. Or build a fire next to them.
