You are right. But not all.
It is difficult to name even few "clean" politician. But there are few who cant exsist in politics world for more than a year.
Have you heard the name of Shri T.N.Sheshan. He was one of the proposed President. But now he is not even MLA.
Politics is "gutter" now. Somebody needs to go down there and clean. Are we ready?

Don't prejudge. Maybe the newspapers and media tell you a lot about politicians, but this follows from vested interest of the contesting party. Politicians are human, just like us. With families, children and the same fears and tears and jeers as all of us. Say you became a politician today; would you label yourself to be corrupted, criminal & cruel.

If one realy looks at politcal players it seems hey are more Autistic and narcisitic than criminal.
Their actions are what we expect of politcos and criminality beng the nrom is made legal by their passing of laws saying and making it "Legal".
They represent their fellow americans who approve of such a system so the system is not corrupted by honesty.
It , cruelty ,is a relative term and the actions of politcos are beyond such moral judgements, as cruelty upon oneslef is the only way to measure and non relevent to others. It is not illegal theft that harms government it is the legal theft that Rules government.

No. Those characteristics fit none of my Congresspeople. You cannot lump every member of Congress into some category or fit them nicely in a tidy little box. I am represent by both Republicans and Democrats and there has not been one HINT of any of those character defects. No scandals, no corruption and certainly no cruelty. There are many fine men and women of all political persuasion who serve in Congress, and many who may have one of the charcter defects you describe. Disagreement with your politics does not make a person bad--just different.

I agree. An aspiring politician will start out with noble intention`s, full of promises of a better future for all, then all of a sudden big business gets involved and BAM !! One more greedy little pig looking out for number one. Some of these bastards should be behind bars.

I think most people get into politics for all the right reasons, it's the system wich makes it impossible for "good" people do do the right thing, as in, if junior senators and reps want their ideas to be looked at they must first vote the way the elders want, by the time they have enough clout to present their good ideas they have been corrupted to the point of loosing sight of our reallity.

Corruption is the major symptom of our New Congress.
Reid, Pelosi, and Obama, have all been caught being corrupted.
Hillary's whole life in Arkansas was built on corruption.
We hope that she now has enough money, that she is honest. (As honest as Democrats get, anyway.)
