Not such a great idea. Please try to find something better to do as part of a celebration.
A marriage license isn't anything other than proof you have the state's permission to marry. It's when you take that marriage license to a judge, justice of the peace, or a clergy member and have him recite the marriage thingy. That and only that would be cause for a celebration.
Course you could follow through and get married and then just file a paper with the court for an annulment of the marriage after about a week. That would waste alot of people's time.

Marriage is way too serious and mature of a committment to be taken lightly. Why would you want a license if you have little to intention of using it? Why waste the money? If you want to play wife, move in with him and play house. Otherwise, don't. You'll see, once the shiny new car-ness rubs off that marriage isn't always bliss. Unless you are literally retarded, I don't think it is retarded. (Retarded is an overly mis-used word generally used by the ignorant.)
As for drinking, I'm thinking you're too young to do that, too.

what does that prove, the only reason that you should get a marriage license is because you are actually getting married, find another reason to show your love....getting a marriage license to show your love???..... I don't think so!!!
Oh, and it will cost $$$$ and it is a complete waste of time!!!

Fly to Vegas, those marriages have to made official later not real unless you want them to be. Cheap rates on the air lines this time of year i bet less than $100
check your state for details.
you can always get divorced later no matter what.
Good place to drink too, take in a show also.

Ummmm..yep, I do. Sorry.
Too many people take marriage too lightly and we end up having half of us fail at it (i.e. divorce).
A cute gesture is a card, a special gift, a well-thought out event or date...not a pretend marriage. If you want to mock up something, make it yourself on your computer.

Sounds to me like you are trying to hint and be suttle about it only thats not very suttle. Secondly you need 2 parties to go to the courthouse and apply for a marriage licence. I don't think it would be a cute gesture I think it would be very dumb on your part

To waste peoples time? It would not be a silly question if you truly wanted to get married. But to waste peoples time, and get drunk shows lack of maturity.
