OK, SOME of you got the point I was trying to make, most of you didn't, which doesn't surprise me! To all of those who didn't get my point, SHE' NOT RACIST!! FOOLS! Shilpa's is just a bossy cow and it gets up her nose cos ppl aren't standing when she enters a room or calling her 'ma am' or 'madam'. I know what I'd call her and it wouldn't be any of those!!

Some ppl still aren't getting it are they? I'm well aware you don't have to be black/white/blah blah blah, whatever to be racist. Let me put it another way then for all you simpletons that didn't understand the question, the simple point I was making is that if Shilpa was Irish and white and was treated EXACTLEY the same way as she is now, it wouldn't be classed as racist. No! of course not. Some ppl are just clutching at those straws so tightly with this racism thing!!!!!!! Let go, it's boring!!!

Racism isn't exclusive to white's and it is well known the hostility between Indians and Blacks. However I personally don't believe that jade is a racist, I think jermaine chooses to ignore her ethnic roots in order to further his own racist beliefs and to widen the gap between shilpa and the other girls (a possible source of comfort for her) so that she comes to depend on him more!

My husband's surname is Irish, various family members have names like Sean, yet his parents were anti -Irish, anti-Scots and just about every other racial group. My husband as a child was not allowed play with the Irish kids down the road, and he was astonished to find when he guiltily went to his friend's house, that it was the same as his.
I have heard it said by a black athlete (and several other black people) that racism amongst black people is worse than black on white racism. There is great racial tension between Asian and black people (i.e. Afro-Caribbean).
My racist ex brother-in-law married a Filipino lady and went over there to live.
I have never seen the revolting Big Brother, but I would guess Jade may have come in for teasing and bullying because her dad was black and that could have caused her to resent black people.
There is no logic to racism.

It seems to me that while most people abhor racism, people don't understand when they're being racist to people other than blacks. It's miseducation that has made Asians slightly more 'fair game' than other groups at the mo.

Just because someone has a part black father doesn't mean they can't be racist to other races. That's kind of a stupid assumption but your probably not an ethnic minority and people like you seem to think that all ethnic minorities are one.

There's actually a lot of black (Afro-Caribbean) on brown (Indian subcontinent) racism about.
Anyone who thinks someone is less likely to be ignorant, stupid and shallow because of the colour of their skin is guilty of racial stereotyping themselves...

Thats a stupid question, just because her dad was black doesn't mean she can't be racist. She didn't choose her dad.
She can still be a racist towards asians or even black people.
