WOW! Better to ask what ISN'T made fom petroleum! THink of any polymer you can think of, including a large portion of the materials in your computer!

Petroleum doesn' just convert to gas. Duing fractional distillation, you get everything from lowboiling solvents (such as benzene) to asphalt (wesentially the "trash" left over when all the "good stuff" boils of).

So, any material that is based directly on, extracted by or from ay type of "hydrocarbon" is directly or indirectly produced through the use of petroleum.

It aint just for inernal combustion anymore!
