They are killing each other for control of the oil.
Iran is behind all the terrorism,bombings and political strife.

Good question. Yes to the first part, maybe to the second. I think/feel one of the other things keeping them alive is the hatred for others in their own region. I think their will to survive is fueled by the hatred to kill others who do not agree with their particular thinking. Sounds a little familiar to another group of people.

If it wasn't for the oil they would be ignored by the world, just like Africa. Their tribal wars pre-dating history would be accepted as fact and they would be allowed to slaughter or starve each other to death.

Do you mean specifically, why are the people in the ME killing each other? Sectarian hatred bred into them from birth.
Why is the US interested in the conflict? Their hate is spreading.
What does this have to do with oil? It is their main export, and they sell it to raise money for arms.

Oil has given Middle Easterners the label of "Terrorists" to dehumanize them by the US/israeli regimes so that they can be killed unless they submit fully and unconditionally.
