Some good astronomy software you reccomend?

I just got my first telescope today, and the software I got with it was pretty hard to use. I'm looking for something that will tell me how to find stars on the date, what they are, etc. Something that's easy to use and preforably low price, or free! :)

I don't know if this will help at all but I like StarCalc. Best of all, it's free.
