Muslims who claim they were racially profiled by Northwest Airlines and refused boarding are currently suing Northwest airlines and calling for a boycott. The majority of people flying are non-Muslim and this makes me wonder, will non-Muslims be more or less likely to fly Northwest during the boycott?

This is an important issue because it could mean that the boycott could have exactly the opposite effect of what the organizers were hoping for. If the results are opposite it could start a trend that could create a driving business reason to discriminate against Muslims.

Please keep these answers real, not a bunch of hateful rhetoric.

If the boycott by Muslims results in an increase of non-Muslim business it could also effect stock prices and result in a kind of control of stock prices through encouraging or discouraging Muslim boycotts or usage of products or services.

This is an interesting issue on a bunch of levels and I wanted to get a snap shot of feelings on the issue.

Please DONT CONFUSE ARABS WITH MUSLIMS

Reading some answers and i can't believe that all you people have hostile feelings about Muslims. I am from Turkey. I don't wear scarf (which is not an islamic rule, dont know why they wear scarf)In my country women are free. we can go to school, have a boyfirend, drink until we get mongoled, be a prime minister, dance, date....etc.

I see no difference between religions. If you read that 3 holly books, they all say the same. why people hate eachother so much!!! You need to educate yourselfs. All these wars, terrorism and massacres coz of illiteracy!!!

Hitler was a Christian, murdered thousands of people. And in history Christian world performed Crusade and killed who ever they come across. some Western countries still have Nazis. and they're Christian! So evil is evil. it is nothing to do with religion. how can you stop people getting on the plane coz of their religion?

Please stop judging people.. PEACE

Currently, Americans feel Muslims are responsible for the terrorist threat to America--for just reasons. If Muslims refuse to fly Northwest, it would increase the perceived safety to Northwest. If Northwest is seen as the safest airline from terrorist attacks, it will financially benefit the airline. The boycott will benefit Northwest and is a useless economic incentive by those particpating in the boycott. It would be a detriment to Northwest's rivals.

Ever heard of the Lod airport massacre? A bunch of gunmen flew into Tel Aviv airport from Paris, wearing business suits and violin cases that carried machine guns and grenades. They opened fire and killed 26 people, including pilgrims from Puerto Rico and Ethiopia.

Guess what...the assailants weren't Arab or Muslim. They were Japanese.

Those muslims knew exactlly what would happen. They set it up on purpose. Doing their prayer thing before getting on the plane and then all of them sitting in different seats. If I were on the jury I'd say.."fu

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll decide to boycott the other airlines too.
