i need the 2003 version because i'm doing CLAIT in college and i'm told the course is not compatable with the newer version ?

You can't download MS Office 2003 unless you have purchased a license legally from Microsoft.

Are you trying to upgrade from an older version? If so, then running the Office update won't help, that just makes sure your current version is up-to-date. If you want to upgrade to 2003, you have to purchase it first.

i had the same problem.it would not download.and it kept sending me.massages to download.but after 7 attempts i gave up
and delete it from add and remove.and that stop all the massages,to download it.
