The only way to cleanse the colon without any harmful side effects is to practice colon hydrotherapy, replacing the beneficial bacteria and electrolytes after each session. This exercises your colon's natural ability to eliminate. Using herbal remedies or laxatives will shut your colon down making your problems worse. To help with elimination w/o colon therapy you should take a broad spectrum probiotic. Drinking hot lemon water or smooth move tea also helps. I suffered from constipation and hemorrhoids for years before using colon therapy. I have not had any issues since, AND it cleared up my acne ridden skin :) Most importantly, HYDRATE! You are 70% water, and if you are not taking in half your body weight in ounces on a daily bases, then your system is dehydrated. Hope this helps!!

get some Metamucil (tabs or powder) and mix and drink with the recommended dosage of Swedish bitters to water.
Do this for a few days in a row while not eating any naughty things (YOU know what they are!!), and only drinking water and juice.
It will do wonders (even if it tastes BAD) you will see a difference in your skin in a day. You will probably break out for the first day or so but it will clear up after about 3 days. your skin is a good indicator of what your colon and you whole lymphatic system is doing, so if you have lots of breakouts , Its time for a flushing.

PS, always worth going to your doctor if there are any side effects to any home remedy you try

Fiber filled foods. Oprah has Dr. Oz go on her show once in a while and that's what he says. Try to find his book. It's well worth it because it will show you the natural way of eating healthier and better w/o gaining weight and damaging your body with bad foods.
